Michael Schoonmaker Joins National Advisors Trust’s Executive Team as Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Michael will be responsible for the client experience, improving scale and efficiency, and
transforming the business at National Advisors Trust. He will focus on financial wellness and being the
trusted advisor’s trusted advisor.

With over 28 years of financial services experience, Schoonmaker has a passion for the client
experience. He believes that working in financial services, whether it is directly with clients or trust
services, is noble work.

commitment to ensuring that NATC associates help build enriching, lifelong relationships with clients.
Prior to joining NATC, Schoonmaker worked at American Century Investments (ACI) as the VP of the
Private Client Group and Sales. He was responsible for building and establishing an RIA at the firm,
bringing financial planning and managed account services.

Preceding ACI, Schoonmaker worked at Fidelity Investments for 24 years, most recently as VP Senior
Branch Manager. He was responsible for acquiring and driving business opportunities in Oregon,
Nevada, and New Mexico through. He led a team of managers and associates who helped individual
investors with their financial goals.

Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in German from Weber State University. He holds a master’s degree
in organizational behavior and human resources from Westminster College.
