As President at Howland Capital, Charlie focuses on portfolio management and estate planning for a broad range of families serving as trustee and executor for many of them. Charlie joined Howland Capital in 1991, after working for Eagle Investment Associates and Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Charlie also serves on the Finance Committee of the YWCA-Boston and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington, an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management, and is a CFA charter holder. Charlie is a twenty-year rider in the Pan-Mass Challenge, an avid backcountry skier, sailor, and an active rower – winning a silver medal for rowing in the 1984 Olympics.
